For Christmas this year Dale and I bought each of our parents digital picture frames. I’m not sure if they enjoyed them or not, but I loaded about 150 pictures on each of them and I know those were a hit. One of the pictures everyone was amazed at was taken in April 1942 when Dale’s father was less then a year old. He’s sitting on his mother’s lap (who passed away this past July) with his older brother to the side and another baby (we’re not sure who) sitting on a blanket with them. They’re on Dale’s Great-Grandmother’s house.

I was one of those who looked at the picture and couldn’t believe the memories it possessed and wanted to scrap it. I’m fairly certain I haven’t done it justice, but here it is. All the papers and elements are from Shauna Burke-Smith. Around the photo and the ribbon are made from papers in her Lumberjack Mini kit.

This is our dog, Angel. One of her obsessions during the summer is to play in the sprinklers. Here we had turned them on just for her and I got the camera out to remember just how excited she got.

The paper, frames and ribbons used are from Danielle Corbitt. The glitter flower and quote are both from Xandra Martin. I used one of Kirsty Wiseman’s overlays to get the look of the striped paper and a tag I designed. The font used on the tag is Not His Angel, which seemed appropriate.

The pictures were from the Halloween party my church put on. It was so much fun with all the kids dressed up and the adults having the chance to sit back and talk. The picture in the middle is Giles, my son. He was Interstate 15 for Halloween.

The papers are from Princess Pamela. The font for the title is My Own Topher. The letters to spell Halloween are from Sarah B.. The haunted house was based on a clip art from kidsdomain.com.

This is my nephew, Austin. He’s such a ham whenever I get out my camera and so you’ll probably be seeing layouts of him here off and on because of it. Unfortunately I don’t get to see him often. When I do though, my camera is definitely filled.

The frames and hearts are from Jessica Gorny on Happy Scraptz. They were recolored for the layout. The paper and ribbon is from Raspberry Roads. The title font is Crazy Milktop Girl, while the other font is DJB JENB2.

This layout is a picture of my Great Grandparents from my mother’s side. It is her father’s parents on their wedding day and I love the photo! The other couple in the photo are the bride’s sister and her new husband. Does that make them my Great GrandAunt and Uncle?

The papers and elements are from Tracy Collins. The font for the title is Olde English and the rest is done in Pegasus.

Who I Am

A new journal needs an introduction I suppose. My name is Suzette and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah (that’s in the USA) with my husband — Dale, my son — Giles and our dog — Angel. I’ve been married for thirteen years and I’m a SAHM due to my son’s Autism and not wanting him to be in daycare.

I love to digital scrap book and that’s probably what the majority of this journal will be used for. I am however a lot different then the majority of scrappers I’ve seen online. I’m a lot more liberal politically and personally. While I’m religious (I’ve just started going to a new church that I love), there is a lot about religion that bothers me a lot. I have a lot of problems with people who are prejudice and I don’t have a problem letting people know if they step over the line with me. I am open to everyone though. This is an open and affirming journal. Race, nationality, religion or sexuality don’t matter.
